WHEREAS, Pursuant to Sections 62.23(2) and (3) for cities and villages, and for towns exercising village powers under 60.22(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Town of Athelstane is authorized to prepare and adopt a comprehensive plan as defined in Sections66.1001(1) (a) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes; and 2. WHEREAS, the Athelstane Town Board has committed resources and funding to develop a Comprehensive Plan in conjunction with a Wisconsin Department of Administration Comprehensive Planning Grant; and 3. WHEREAS, the Town of Athelstane worked cooperatively with the towns of Amberg and Silver Cliff to cooperatively develop the Athelstane Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan in order to guide and coordinate land use decisions and development in the town; and Page 1 of 2 4. WHEREAS, the Athelstane Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan has been prepared in cooperation with the Town of Athelstane Planning Committee, Athelstane Town Board, residents and property owners, Foth and Van Dyke, Planning Consultants, Marinette County University of Wisconsin-Extension , Land Information and Zoning Departments, the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission, and the Wisconsin Departments of Transportation , Natural Resources, and Administration; and 5.
